Hi!
I've 3 polycom 650, SipXecs pbx system, 3,2,4 version.
I've already looked for any resource to solve this problem but I didn't succeed.
I'd like to implement the pickup group call feature.
These are the step I've done so far:
-enable in the Sipxecs website this feature
-open sip.cfg and enable the feature, I choose native and legacy and It didn't work
Do you mind explain me why it doesn't work?
Thanks
Alessandro

Hello alessandro,
I have moved your post to the correct section.
What method is supported by your SIP PABX ?
Legacy or Native ?
Quote from the Admin Guide (UCS 4.0.1 as you did not post the Version you are using):
Specifies how the phone will perform a directed call pick-up from a BLF contact.
native indicates the phone will use a native protocol method (in this case SIP INVITE with the Replaces header).
legacy indicates the phone will use the method specified in call.directedCallPickupString.
call.directedCallPickupString1 star code *97
The star code to initiate a directed call pickup. Note: The default value supports the BroadWorks calls server only.
You must change the value if your organization uses a different call server.
Above explains what the phone will use.
Did you contact SIPXecs yet?
I can only recommend to contact you reseller and provide him with a Wireshark Trace when trying to reproduce the Issue so they can either check this trace or contact Polycom Support.

legacy.
Well I matched the *97 both in the polycom_sip.cfg and in the sipxecs web-configuration.
the softkey appears on my phone but if I press it, It automtically calls *97

Hello Alessandro,
I may have miss understood your Original Post.
Would you like to Pickup a Group Call or a Directed Call Pickup?
Usually you could use BLF (if the Sip Server supports the Feature!) and monitor individual extensions and pick up calls by pressing the Key next to the monitored Extension.
Using the Legacy method below would just dial the Pick Up Code *78 and nothing else and pick up a call that is within a group (example for asterisk!)
Using the feature.groupCallPickup.enabled offers a different functionality.
Check page 127 in the UCS 4.0.1 Admin Guide describes this. If you are using a different or older Software Version you need to seek for the correct section.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
