Hi Steffan

I'm trying to set background image on IP450s running 3.3.1.0769 using this config. Ive also uploaded the background image but its loading as a default image and we have to set it up manually. It will be really nice to have a KB with snips of configs to assign images. can you help to review my config below to find whats wrong?

Hello Rakesh,

welcome to the Polycom Community 😉

Looking at the Feature Descriptions & Technical Notifications as advised in the FAQ I can find:

Adding a Background Logo on SoundPoint IP and SoundStation IP Phones that explains Background Logos

The <bg/> Parameter in the Admin Guide explains this as well and shows that the medRes parameters are used by SoundPoint IP 450 phones.

Choosing the existing sailboat.jpg background via the GUI Menu results in the Phone (running UCS 3.3.4) to upload it's <mac>-phone.cfg with the changed value bg.medRes.gray.selection="3,2".

The Standard Value within UCS 3.3.4 is bg.hiRes.gray.bm.2.name="Sailboat.jpg" , simply adding this to your own Configuration and changing the picture name to your own picture sipcom.jpg and placing the Picture into the Provisioning Directory should enable you to choose the Picture or set the Phone to load this.

You should be able to check the app & boot logs for any configuration issues.

If you struggle with above please raise this via your Polycom Reseller.

Best Regards
