visual+ meetings display after upgrade

Hi All,

 

I just upgraded some of our Trio 8800 & Visual+ to the latest version 552.

After the upgrade the visual+ now outputs the next 5 meetings on screen.

 

We find this layout not as nice as the prvious and would like to revert back to just showing the current or next meeting on screen.

 

Is this possible? I tried the exchange.meeting.showOnlyCurrentOrNext setting, but this only works on the trio8800 and not on the screen via the visual+.

 

is there an option to change this as I could not find any reference other than that the screen now support the five meeting display in the admin guide.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

 

I am quite sure we always displayed the box of 5 in the Visual+ screen but cannot remember if this was ever different (maybe on the initial release).

 

As this is working as designed in this release you would require a feature request.

Hi Steffen,

 

thank you very much for the reply, we have been using the trio with visual+ since beginning of the year and have always used and tested latest releases, this is the first time the 5 boxes showed up :)

 

It's strange though, as from the 10 units I upgraded, 4 are still as before and 6 have the "new" layout

I have 10 more to do so I'll check what will happen with those.

 

If you want I can upload a screenshot of the devices so the difference is clear.

I'm also interested in changing this behaviour, or turn off displaying meetings completely for the moment if that option is available. It was ok to display the next meeting in the meeting room, but displaying the next 5 or so is too much information.

Hello all,

Please raise this via your Polycom reseller as a feature request via a Polycom sales engineer and provide a business proposal why this would be required.

Above is necessary in order to track this internally within Polycom and evaluate the request and prioritize this based on the feasibility and the general impact on other features.

Hello all,

 

using the exchange.meeting.showOnlyCurrentOrNext="1" parameter should actually do what you are after but once you upgraded to 5.5.2 this seems to no longer work.

 

I had a ticket on this 1-7279453981 and escalated this to engineering via VESC-8027.

 

Could you go ahead and do the same?
