Dear all, 

 

We have two polycom rmx 4000. one on 7.8 ver and other one on 8.3 version. when dialling to public ip alongwith psscode. I am able to connect sucessfully from 7.8 version whereas from 8.3 version ip field goes blank 0.0.0.0 when dialling o public ip .

This RMX 8.3 version change was driven by a case where another customer was getting the RMX address book from CMA, and it was in a DHCP environment. They had reservations on the RMX but by the time the reservation came up, the IP address of the EP had changed, and the call would fail. This change basically allows the RMX to only use the alias as that is assumed not to change even in DHCP environment regardless if an IP address was present or not. The previous behavior, as you mentioned in 7.8, was to only use the IP regardless is any alias is present or not.

 

Please check you system configuration is see if the following 8.3 system flag and value is present, if not please add: REMOVE_IP_IF_NUMBER_EXISTS  = NO

Hi Simon, 

 

Do we have to reset the bridge after creating the flag as said. I just checked on the another RMX were i m succesfully able to dial ip alongwith passcode with ver 7.8 ,i dont see any flag on it.
