Greetings,

We have an RMX 4000 that experienced the following issue twice in December:

- disconneced IP sites at once, yet audio integration / ISDN participants remained connected;

Once the issue took place a second time, a hotfix was provided to resolve.

Unfortunately, the issue arose again in January.

Again, IP sites disconnected at once, while audio integration / ISDN participants held.

The same major alarm is related to all three events:

Central Signaling indicating Recovery status

Unit 50; process type: CSH323; status: Recovered; reason: FromStuck; name: gkiftask. Terminated.

The software version we are running on the RMX is 8.4.2.16.

I am appealing to the Polycom community.

Has anyone seen this before?  Identified the issue?  Found resolution?

Thank you

The gkiftask relates to the gatekeeper. If the RMX, or any device for that matter, loses its connection to the gatekeeper it is registered to then all gatekeeper routed calls will drop.

What are you using for your gatekeeper? There may be some hints in the gatekeeper logs as well.

Thanks for the reply Michael!

We are using a Polycom DMA 7000 as our gatekeeper.

Are there specific logs I should be looking into?

Thanks again,

Sean

The first place to look on the DMA would be Reports -> Registration History. A Full Faults Log on the RMX should also record any loss in gatekeeper registration.
