Hi,

How can I troubleshoot RMX Sip Signaling.

currently I did integration between RMX (release 7.2)  and Lync 2010 standard edition.

I followed the guide "Deploying Visual Comm Admin Guide WV4" and RMX admin guide also i followed step by step in this blog

http://grahammw.wordpress.com/2011/09/02/integrating-the-polycom-rmx-with-microsoft-lync-2010-server...

the problem that the RMX shows everything is normal, but the signaling page shows SIP Fail.

what could be the problem? how can I trouble shoot it ?

Hello Ahmed,

I would check the LYNC Server Event Viewer in the Application and Services => LYNC Server => right click to filter and then use the Event sources as LS Protocol Stack.

If above does not get you any further please work with your Polycom Reseller.

Best Regards

Shabana,

This is normal and expected. Having the RMX report SIP signalling has failed is not a sign of concern. The RMX will attempt to register a dummy participant to see if it can get a response back from the Lync server. If the Lync server responds with a 404 error code, then the RMX knows it can register to the Lync server. If it gets back some other error code or none at all, then that would indicate a registeration issue with the Lync server.

If this really bothers you, you can create a conference profile and set it to register to SIP. Then you can assign a meeting room or EQ to the conference template. If you wanted to see presense for the meeting room, you can create a Microsoft user account which had been Lync enabled using the same name as the meeting room.
