I have successfully integrated internally with Lync front end servers.

To enable ICE on RMX, will the RMX communicate directly (signalling, media ports,STUN/TURN)

with the edge server(s) thus requiring more firewall ports to be opened up ?

Or does it all go through the front end servers that already has these ports opened ?

Front ends and edge servers are in different security zones.

Yes - the RMX will interrogate the Lync Front End server that has been configured for any Lync Edge servers. The RMX will then communicate directly to the Edge server(s) like you hav indicated. Yes - you have to open the ports from the edge to the RMX, bi-directional. For some customers, you have to make sure there is a route from the edge to the RMX as well.

You can search these forums or Google to find the list of ports.
