Hi,

i'm writing a change request for a VBP-E 5300 software upgrade (also need to do this for an ST).  Was looking through the docs but could not find the answer to :

1. suppose upgrade fails for some reason, is factory reset a recovery scenario?

2. does factory reset return you to a default software version?

3. how long does a factory reset take approx (time from pressing the button to system running with default config)?

Thx.

If it fails, usually because soeone has changed the default password in the "Frimware Upgrade" page, then nothing has really changed as the VBP needs to reboot to install the new software.  Yes a Factory reset is available, uusally takes 10 minutes to reboot then you need to input you configuration.

I updated a unit by accident, by the time we got a cup of coffe it was up and running again with the new code.
