Hello,

I use the platform director with Vcenter 5.1

In the platform Director we are good at creating the provider that has administrator rights Vcenter but when we create the zone and we add the resource groups, he sees data center but not the Host / cluster that is grayed out and can go no further in the configuration.

Which version of RPPD do you use?

There are 2 things that need to happen, permissions and roles. You can assign a role to an account, but that does not mean this account has access to the various objects within Vcenter. Within each view in vcenter, you can assign an account permissions for that object. It sounds like the account can see the hosts, but nothing else.

For example, I recently have a co-worker full admin rights for his host, but he was unable to use PD because PD also needed access to the storage and networking objects related to the host. Make sure the account has access to all the objects consumed by the host and including the host itself.
