Thank you @steffenBaierUK
thank you for listening. I just upgraded to the newest firmware today, and like others I find the new behavior *extremely annoying*. I've covered up the LED with some tape, which mutes the flashing a bit, but this solution is not very satisfactory.
I really love this headset but the dongle, not so much.
Looking forward to improved firmware which gives an option to disable the flashing LEDs.
I've updated to 1723 firmware and now my BT600 is constantly flashing blue/purple. This is quite annoying since my PC is turned on most of the time but my headset is not.
All the night now, and potentially during the flights in the future, I'll have a warning flash in the darkness and I'll need to remove the dongle and lose it.
Hello @umtpoly ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
The release notes >here< state this change and as you found this post here it is quite clear. Please await the update as announced >here<
A user >here< has a quick hack so you can still use this on flights.

Hello Steffen--
Since I've already downgraded to v1615...Can I get a copy of the current v1723 firmware files, please? I want to manually upgrade the firmware going forward.
Furthermore, I would recommend you provide firmware in files format going forward and we wouldn't be in this mess.
Thank you!

Hello @MinerJ
I am from the "old" Polycom side of things and everything around headsets or Bluetooth adapters is new to me.
This is not my line of expertise and I can only ask you to contact support.
To my knowledge, we do no offer our firmware as download links and you will need to use the Plantronics hub.
Best regards
Steffen Baier
Thanks Steffen for taking this seriously and working with the product team to come up with a solution, albeit a few months away. Will be waiting for that fix eagerly and in the meantime...tape it is!
Thanks again,
Bernard
Thank you @SteffenBaierUK. Looking at the KB article, the only behavior that is really hard to live with is the disconnected headset with teams. Since we are stuck here, I like the "purple Breath, then off" behavior for disconnected for the next rev.
If I were to request one other change, it would be nice if "Purple Flash" could indicate "Headset connected, Streaming music" (or really any other Audio). That was really helpful to me in the old behavior. Those two changes would make this perfectly livable again.
I cant imagine that teams would have an issue with that additional indicator. If Teams is driving your behavior, it would be nice to then include the reference to what "Teams Certified Indicator Lights" are so that we know to target angst @MS rather than @Poly.
@SteffenBaierUK: Thank you for acknowledging our collective experience. I am anxiously awaiting the correction.
I'm not sure why you guys would do this. My headset is completely nonfunctional now. No sound at all. It sits solid purple and no sound comes out no matter what setting it's set to. The thing worked just fine before, why make a completely unnecessary change?
