Microsoft Roundtable cam hardware fails. Any DIY solutions I could try?
Most likely due to a failure in the powerbox, my (somewhat older) roundtable cam won't start any more. The powerbox shows signs of a busted capacitor in the high voltage transformer. Even when connected to another proper 5V powersource, the table device is just showing flashing/blinking red lights and won't start, won't reset, etc. (The low-voltage part of the powerbox shows a solid green led though). Manual states: blinking red lights = hardware failure... contact support :-). Since it's pretty old, sending it in for repair might likely turn out a bit expensive.
Does anyone have any tips/tricks to share on what to try/what to look for?
