Using as second monitor

On Windows 7 OS and experiencing lock ups...do I need driver update?

The issue was connecting up a new hp laptop (not sure about the virtual) to a Polycom video room system. You can usually hook up a laptop and share content over video conferencing but the hp machines aren't able to make a connection via vga to the Polycom. In fact, it locks the hp up completely.

Re: Using as second monitor

Hi,

Have you tried Polycom's 'People+Content IP' software?

It could provide you a workaround.

You can download the software from here:

http://downloads.polycom.com/video/ppcip/PPCIP_v1_2_3.zip

On a different note - are your HP laptops using a pre-built OS image with specific drivers/software/etc.?

If yes, it could be that the video card drivers need upgrading.

I would recommend consulting the local helpdesk or systems team (whoever is in charge of OS related issues).

If it's not a pre-built image, I would still recommend checking the video card driver version and comparing it with the available ones at HP's website.

Good Luck!

Daniel
