Hi,  Currently we have a CMA 4000, RMX 2000 and a RSS4000. Along with this infrastructure we have 33 endpoints ranging from old VSX 7000 to HDX 90004. So we are not a big shop but not small either.  Recently our IT Server Farm has issued a new rule that all severs must be updated since Microsoft will no longer be supporting Server 2003 which is the back-end of the CMA. So now Polycom has the Real Presence Suite with the Lynux back-end.  All of our conferences are done on our Network, no proxy server is needed. Our only ability to upgrade is to move to the real presence platform.  Since our infrastructure is only 5 years old , I find it hard to cost justify moving to the real presence platform since we do not go off net to tablets, cell phones etc. So my question is ' will polycom consider upgrading the CMA to a Linux backend in order to support small shops on a tight budget like ours?' I'm sure that there are other organizations in the same situation as ours. I appreciate any and all input and thank you all in advance.

Hello rjn,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The CMA with its underlying Windows 2003 server is an OEM Version and not the fully blown server. The system is as is and there is no plan for a converted Operating system as we already have other products in our portfolio.

Official Microsoft support for Windows 2003 Server ends in July 2015.
