Hi I have been sent the CMA v6.0 rebuild ghost disk. I need the ftp link and login details to download the v5.5.0 to v6.0 pre upgrade patch, what is the ftp site address, user and login to download the patch?

Our CMA5000 is sitting on version v5.5.0 E19. Is this compatable with the pre v6.0 patch? If not, where can I download the 5.5.2 upgrade as I can't see it on the Support Site. The v6 upgrade instruction pdf states that the pre v6.0 patch must be applied to 5.5.1 or 5.5.2. I can only see a 5.5.5 upgrade on the downloads available.

Hope I get an answer before 10am Sat 29 Dec UK time as I am trying to carry out the upgrade ASAP.

Our CMA5000 went down 16.00 Fri 28 Dec and I tried to start the upgrade process as I have the v6.0 ghost disk. Only to find out I needed an ftp address user name and password to get the v5.5.2 to v6 pre ugrade patch.

Thank you Mike_v, I already have the disks and documentation and read them very carefully, I was looking for the v5.5.0 to v6 pre upgrade patch ftp details. I now have these. Cheers.

My worry now is that our CMA 5000 is sitting on v5.5.0 ER19, the documentation that comes with the v6 and v5.5.0 restore disks clearly states in bold that:

"Note:  The only versions of CMA 5.5.0 that can be used with this pre-upgrade patch are CMA 5.5.0.1 and CMA 5.5.0.2."

I called Polycom Support and they couldn't confirm if 5.5.0.5 is OK to use the pre upgrade patch on, they are calling back next Wednesday on this when their specialists can answer my question : (

In the meantime I am going to create a new post asking where to get the CMA 5.5.0.2 patch from as I can't see it on the Polycom Support Downloads or ftp site.

Or if someone has successfully experienced using the pre upgrade patch on CMA 5.5.0.5 or CMA 5.5.0 ER19.

Have a great New Year : )

Henry,

please read careful the CMA™ System Upgrade Guide:

Polycom will send the software (the CMA System v6.0 Recovery DVD) to you along with instructions on how to obtain the Pre-Upgrade Patch.

So the Pre-Upgrade Patch (CMA_patch_5.5.0.9_74724.bin) is not presented on CMA download page.

Please note also that when ordering the 6.0 ghost disk you are asked to order the a recovery disk for a previous version (for example 5.5). It's stronger recommended to get this disk.
