Hi all,

I am getting system alarm on my RMX v7.6.1.136 that Can not establish connection with SIP registrar that is my DMA server which is acting as a SIP registrar. On our DMA server we have made a trunk with the asterisk server. The dial in number from the SIP phones are registered as a endpoint DMA but it is showing Inactive. In the logs it is showing the message rejected with the cause "manually added device, rejected by default".

Trunk is between the asterisk server and DMA server(act as a SIP server). Checked with our voice team. Trunk is Ok. but RMX are not registered with the DMA. In the registration status of RMX it is showing registration failed, I am entering the correct username and password but still the RMX is not registering to the DMA server. There are two MCUs registered to the DMA server and none of the MCU is getting registered to the DMA. In the SIP authentication of RMX I have entered the username and password correctly. And corresponding entry in the DMA's endpoint it is showing INACTIVE. That is the main reason I am not able to do enter the conference from SIP phones. But I don't know how to make it work. I have created new trunk with difference username and password , added endpoints manually , restarted the devices but no results.

this is all happing for rmx only or for the rest of all your endpoint.are you having a CMA in your video infra deployment??

The DMA is used as a SIP registrar only in our infra, I also think that there is some problem in RMX and DMA connectivity. But don't know what it is. Tried as much as I can. Created a new trunk, adding the rmx as the SIP endpoint etc. but no +ve results. 😞

Hello vikream,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Both the DMA and the RMX have the possibility to create a wireshark trace.

The simplest way to find out the root cause is creating a trace and checking the SIP signaling between both units.

You could also use a spanned port if you are unable to run the Wireshark on either the RMX or the DMA.
