We recently have been integrated (merged) with another company which mean that they have their own domain and active directory. To remedy the issue of users and being able to communicate, without spending a lot of money and creating the users on both sides of the active directories, we have created the users of the other company as contact objects so we can find them in AD and send emails or contact them via Lync.
The DMA seems to filter all contacts and just add the real user objects and therefore the members of the other doamin are unable to have access to our cool feature of the VMR calls. Although we have created a trust between our gatekeepers (Cisco TMS and VCS).
I have send an email to our Polycom engineer and sales team and have asked for a speacial feature but I am not sure if anyone has ran into this before.
