Hi there Polycom Community,

Although DMA is the UC component that 'Glues' together H.323 to Lync and SIP PBX, to date Mitel isn't a supported solution and therefore no documentation or 'support' is available but surely someone has achieved this and so I am asking for any successes to share basic info.

I am expecting to create a trunk from Mitel to DMA and setup a corresponding SIP peer so both devices are aware of each other. Then SIP calls to unknown devices will get forwarded to Mitel and any calls forwarded by Mitel will get handled by DMA including translation to H.323.

Has anyone achieved success? How and any notable issues to avoid?

Had hoped that Polycom and Mitel would have tested and posted results, including state of play indicating known issues and when they expect to be fully supporting this solution.

Thanks all.

Update to this.

That is indeed how its done, SIP trunk from Mitel to DMA and create SIP Peer in DMA. Seems to work for RMX which couldn't register to Mitel directly.

Although there seems to be some issue remaining in some cases with audio protols not being exchanged both ways to some devices depending on direction of call.I think we will find a workaround for this

This is down to Polycom and Mitel doing interop testing after which they might start to support such configurations which after all is the point of DMA. But I suppose Mitel aren't Microsoft

Thankfully I can say that DMA can and does work with Mitel PBX even though its not supported by either Polycom or Mitel yet.

HDX register to DMA and in turn a trunk between DMA and Mitel. All good so far.

Hello hants,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Whilst our internal Team works on the official Interop with Mitel would you mind. for the benefit of other community members, posting some information on how you archive your goal?

Hants.  You never responded in this thread.  Did anyone ever get this working?  If so, can you explain?
