Hi There,

 

Anyone experienced Fortigate Firewall being too smart?

We have an HDX, using NAT and registering to our DMA for gatekeeper (h323) and SIP registrar.

H323 gatekeeper registration register with public (NAT) address, no problem BUT the SIP address for this end-point register as it's PRIVATE address (inside network) - SAME HDX !!

 

I have disabled the SIP NAT and HELPER services on the fortigate, in the VDOM but no change. (Firmware = V4 patch 5)

 

Using a Wireshark capture with high level graph - I can see the SDP header containing the public address with the original registration but then a re-send occurs and the address in the SDP gets changed to the PRIVATE address.....ggrgrrrr

 

ANY help out there please...?
