Hi everyone, I set up a RMX, DMA, Resource Manager and RPAD infrastructure inside my corporate network. I used one interface on the RPAD for the internal network and another interface for the DMZ and configured the firewall to accept the incoming and outgoing connections correctly. I configured and integrated every device and it is possible to register an external endpoint to the Resource Manager and I can place calls using H323 to any device registered on the gatekeeper. I also tested calling to a Meeting Room inside DMA and it is working fine too. I am able to receive calls from external endpoints normally (To registered devices and Virtual Rooms), but I am not able to place calls to external IP addresses. Any ideas to help me with that issue? Is there any option that may be blocking outgoing calls to unregistered endpoints?

Hi...dont know if you still have this issue..but here we go..

To troubleshoot this kind of issue I have som tips:

1 - Go to resource manager and check the H323 routing and SIP routing (page 388 and 389 of the latest ops guide)

2 - take a look at the DMA call history and try to understand what is going on with your call.

3 - take a look at the RPAD call history and try to understand what is going on with your your call.

4 - take a traffic capture from RPAD and Endpoint and try to figure out what is going on.

What protocol are you using on your outbound calls H.323 or SIP?

From what device are you trying to dial the external call RMX, RPD, endpoint?
