In the RPAD documentation I only find reference to the DNS A-record resolving to the RPAD public IP and a SRV record _cmaconfig._tcp..company.com for endpoint provisioning.

Is there no need for SRV record so that guest endpoints on the Intenret can dial to endpoint or VMR using: name@company.com?

Here a list of SRV records I usually create for VC calls to the edge server of another vendor:

_sip._tcp.company.com
_sip._udp.company.com
_sip._tls.company.com

_h323ls._udp.company.com

_h323cs._tcp.company.com

Will these also work for SIP and H.323 calls from HDX and RPG endpoints to a site via the RPAD?

Any other SRV records needed to be fully compatible?

rgds, Geert.

_sip._tcp.example.com IN SRV 0 100 5060 rpad.example.com
_sip._udp.example.com IN SRV 0 100 5060 rpad.example.com
_sips._tcp.example.com IN SRV 0 100 5061 rpad.example.com

Dear All,

Sorry to come mid of this disscussion but how the internet guest user connect with SIP host side user until or unless the DNS service record for the dialling domain is not avilable in ISP of guest user side.

We should tell to ISP DNS where we would like to connect.

With Best Regards

Prem Kumar

Prem Kumar,

Basically you are asking how a Guest would make a call without any DNS records?

They would dial by IP address, either 1000@140.242.22.1 or 140.242.22.1##1000 as an example. You would substitute your RPAD IP address in the examples.
