RPRM alert and SNMP with Trio

Hi,

 

I’m trying to configure our RPRM to send SNMP trap to our SNMP server when a Trio goes down but I cant view a way to make it work. I have configured our SNMP servers in “Admin > Server Settings > SNMP Settings > Notification setting”, I have configured a profile in “Alert > Remote Alert Profiles” and selected: 

 

Resources Manager Alerts: Warning, Minor, Major, Critical

Send Endpoint Notification Trap: checked

Alert By Device Type: RealPresence Trio Series > Warning, Minor, Major, Critical

 

If I disconnect a Trio, it goes Offline in the Monitor View but no SNMP trap is sent to our SNMP servers and no alert is triggered in RPRM.

 

Can someone help me on this?

 

Resource Manager version: 10.6.0_30

Trio firmware version: 5.8.0.15232

Hello @Ziki ,

 

welcome to the Poly Community.

 

Did you also select an Alert By Device Type or any of the other selections in there?

 

For example Alert By Device Type > RealPresence Trio Series and then the relevant Alarm?

 

In addition within User > Users did you select for the User you are using the Associated Alert Profile and select the Remote Alert Notification Profile?

I have also selected Alert By Endpoint and selected the correct endpoint (checked Warning, Minor, Major, Critical) and Alert By Device Type: RealPresence Trio Series > Warning, Minor, Major, Critical.

 

Anyway, I can see this error in the Jserver.log file:

 

<180>1 2019-05-03T13:03:18.614+02:00 xxxxxxxxxx RPRM 2458 Jserver - WARN |||notificationhandler-thread-1|com.polycom.rm.snmp.SnmpService| try to send a trap that is not confine to snmp supported mib configuration with oid: 1.3.6.1.4.1.13885.102.0.152

 

Regarding the email alert, I'm still waiting for the team managing SMTP servers to open relay for the RPRM. So email are not working at the moment but I know why...
