Good Afternoon

I'm having trouble accessing RSS4000, whose current version is 8.5.0. It is not accepting the default login (user ID: admin / password: admin).
I attempted to reset the password through tellnet, but without success.
The system doesn't seem to allow me to reset the password.
how can we access the RSS4000

Thank you for your help

Hello Rafael1,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We usually do not disclose in public forums how to circumvent or re-instate lost passwords so I can only advise you to contact your Polycom reseller and if they are unable to help cam raise a ticket with Polycom support for you.

You may have to pay per incident if the unit is out of warranty or out of support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier

If the RSS isn't authenticating known good credentials then there could be a problem with the database. Have you tried rebooting the RSS? Worst case scenario is that you have the option to reset the system to factory defaults. To do that, plug an empty USB stick into the back of the system and then reboot it.
