Hello,

I had 2 issues regarding the Resource Manager:

Firstly, I would like to manually assign E164  alias to users, on a numbering plan like 8XXX for RPD and 5XXX for RPM.Is this possible?

Secondary, I had seen that in RMX it is possible to schedule meeting only if the users had IP address.Due to the fact that the IP addreses for the PC-s were  RPD is installed are DHCP provisioned, it seems that is not possible to schedule in RMX conferences for these users. I had seen that in Resouce Manager there is a tab regarding future conferences.I like to know if is possible to schedule from there conferences for users without knpwing the IP address.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Have a nice day.

Hi here,

Firstly. Try to use: User -> Users -> Add/Edit User -> H.323 Dial String Reservation.

More details in RPRM Operation Guide -> User Management -> Manage Dial String Reservations for Users.

Secondary. You are not right, with RMX you can schedule users without IP addreess.  Also when you schedule a conference from RPRM and add a participant from address book then the IP address isn't used at all. And more - when you add a participant as a guest you also don't need to define its IP address, E.164 is enough. Of course you need to have both RMX and user's endpoint registred with a gatekeeper.

OK

So, in RMX I add a user without the IP address, and when I want to schedule a conference for that user a receive a error from RMX:

I don't know what does Alert 108 mean, but according to the text there is a problem with schedulling a conference itself but not with a participant in the conference.

Try to schedule a conference without any participant and check that the problem still remain.

Thank you.

I scheduled a conference without an user that I mannualy added to RMX Address Book and it was ok.

I read in the book and it seems that in  RMX you cannot add users without IP address in Address Book (or you can but it will not work). The users should be those from the Resource Manager Address book. I had check in Resource Manager and all my users are listed only in Global Address Book.

I should check how to put those users in Address Book, and after that to integrate according to RMX Admin Guide v 8.5 pag. 315.
