Hi I'm tring to set the static IP for CSS 1.4.1 on VMware, the commands were accepted but after rebooting the server found no IP has been set. I tried alot but the same.

 

the work around it to usb DHCP then change IP through the web but is there any way to set it directly without DHCP? below the used commands.

 

Set HostNameAndGateway cssserver 172.21.115.254
Set DNS 172.21.104.106 172.21.5.204
Set NetworkInterface eth0 172.21.115.134 255.255.252.0
rebootserver

Does your DHCP server have "reservations" for IP addresses ?   Typically, these are based on the MAC address and any NIC with the specified MAC address will get a specific IP address.  I know this isn't Static but it's pretty clsoe...
