Hello,

Starting in UC Software version 5.5.2, " the phone places the last dialed method for a contact either through SIP URI or Tel URI and dials via the same method the next time until it reboots to the default SIP URI."

We use VVX paired with expansion modules for our siwtchboard staff, where typically the call is put through to someone's extension via programmed BLF key on the expansion module.

In the case where a caller is put through to someone's voicemail, the next time they put through a call to that person (not necessarily wanting to transfer to VM), it's automatically transferred to VM becasue it was the last "dialed method". They would have to hold down the contact's button and choose the dial methoid eachtime, whereas before it would always default to their extension (default SIP URI).

Is there a way to turn this functionality off without reverting the firmware ?

Thank you !

Hello @RJay55,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

To my knowledge this is working as designed and would require a feature request.

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change to the current Polycom SIP / UC Software?

Resolution: Please check => here <=
