Hi

My customer has OCS 2007 with CX300 and CX700 phones and is planning to upgrade to Skype for Business.  Can they still use these phones with SfB?

Many thanks

Trevyn

Trevyn,

The CX300 USB phone is certified with SfB.

The CX700 is not certified but dose work with on Prem SfB with newer firmware.  It will not support all features of SfB.  You can google for guides on upgrading the CX700 to the Lync compatible firmware.

Hello Trevyn,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As already outlined by James the CX300, CX200 and CX100 are simple USB devices and any Operating / Driver support would be provideded by the OS itself or the LYNC / Skype client.

The CX700 would need to be on the latest LPE firmware (.4463).

Please be aware that Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.

If you have any further questions or require more details you therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.

Best Regards
