CX5500 Software 1.3.0

When will software version 1.3.0 for the CX5100 & CX5500 be available on Polycom's Hosted server? I have a CX5500 running on version 1.2.3.70255 and would like to upgrade, but we do not utilize a custom server for updates and the Polycom Hosted Server says that the Polycom running on 1.2.3 is up-to-date. I have also attempted to update the Polycom using USB but the Polycom will not accept the passcode. Any advice on how to get the USB option to work, or any idea when the software will be available via Polycom?

Thank you,

Dan

Re: CX5500 Software 1.3.0

Hello Dan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I am liaising internally on the availability to host the 1.3.0 online but the password is usually 456.

If you or someone else changed this it will prevent you from accessing any Advanced features. I am not sure how you can do the online Update if not in Admin Mode.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Re: CX5500 Software 1.3.0

Thank you for the reply.

I was able to get the USB option to work after resetting the CX5500 to factory default and enabling the Phone Lock feature. Is it stated in the software release notes that the Phone Lock needs to be enabled for the CX5500 to accept USB updates, or was this just a unique situation. The CX5500 has successfully upgraded to version 1.3.0 and the phone is working again after the configuration file was uploaded. Thank you for your help. It would still be nice to know when version 1.3.0 will be available on Polycom's Hosted Server as it would make updating units a lot simpler.

Thanks,

Dan
