Anyone know what "Fatal Hardware Error - Please contact your system administrator" on a CX600 really means?  This message is displayed on the screen when the phone powers up.  All I can tell is that the phone will not work at all and will not boot.  I've tried both the "hard" and "factory" resets and the error persists.

The phone was powered by POE from the swtich and failed after the switch was rebooted for a maintenance update.  No other CX600 phones were affected by the network swtich reboot... only this one phone.

Thanks for any info the community can give!

I have the same error with a CX3000! Is it completely broken or can something be done?

Hello frederickoellisch,

Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® or Skype® for Business devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.

You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.

Polycom is unable to add any new features into the functionality of these CX Devices

Stating the above Polycom does manufacture these handset's so what is the MAC address of this CX3000?

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
