I have a couple of Trio 8800 setup at different sites.  Both of them have the same issue where I cannot Share Desktop with Skype for Business with either unit when I try it one on one with my laptop and a Trio 8800.  I can Share Program fine, but not Desktop.

However if I have another person join the meeting so there is my laptop, the Trio 8800, and anyone else (even another Trio 8800) then Share Desktop works.

Why would this work for 3 or more, but not between me and one Trio 8800?

Hi Steffen,

thanks for the fast respond and the article from Jeff. I could only say, that this is not the answer our customers would like to hear 😉

Thanks

Hello Jordan,

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

In addition what version of LYNC client are you using?

Hi Jordan-

I had a similar problem and it seemed to be the new Video-Based Screensharing used with the Office 2016 Skype4B client.  Jeff Schertz discusses the change from RDP to VBSS here:

Hello Pmipolycom,

Current publicly available software Versions do not support the LYNC 2016 client.

Please check future release notes once new software is released.

Hello,

is VBSS on the Roadmap? So Skype for Business 2016 Client can be used with full features. I installed yesterday Version 5.4.4, but nothing, it will not work anymore.

Another point, is it on the roadmap to use Powerpoint Presentation and Whiteboards with Trio?

Hello Rene,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

We are unable to provide details via the community due lack of Non Disclosure Agreement / NDA.

We would document supported features in the release notes. The one's you want are not documented.

UC Software 5.4.4 has nothing to do with VBSS and you can always disable the registry settings as described => here <=
