I have made some progress and worked with Microsoft. I found that there were 2 DNS settings for Skype that needed to be added. I have done that but I'm still not able to connect. However, the error logs have changed. See below and please advise:

two things:

Please change the log leves as already asked before:

 

  • Settings > Logging > Global Settings > Global Log Level Limit > Set to DEBUG
  • Settings > Logging > Module Log Level Limits > SIP > Set to DEBUG

But the most important one is to log a ticket.

 

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

I am able to get signed in when using an account with user@mydomain.onmicrosoft.com but not when using an account with a domain I have setup in the 365 tenant such as dsmith@mydomain.org, which is really the only difference. Logs for that failure with your debug attached.

For anyone else who runs into a similar issue, i had to add the same recommended 365 DNS settings that we used on our external DNS server to our internal DNS server as well. This resolved the problem.
