Just as the title states, if an external user with a different company/domain sends a skype for business meeting, the join button does not populate on the phone. Any help would be appreiciated

It would help if you provided some basic information like the phone model itself.
In addition tt is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
