I purchased a VVX 601 when using a different vendors phone solution. I have left that system and now i want to use my VVX601 with Skype for business. Can someone tell me how this can be done? I already have an Office 365 account with Cloud PBX and PSTN dialing. I just need to get my VVX 601 phone connected to it.
Hello krauton,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Quite simple and you must purchase a Polycom per phone LYNC / Skype for Business License for every single phone you want to utilise.
License requirements
Please be aware of the following:
The use of Polycom UC Software versions 4.1.X (“Software”) requires the purchase of a separate Software license for every device that will use the Software in a Lync environment. You may not install, access, or use the Software in a Lync environment on more devices than are listed on your license until additional licenses have been purchased and authorized by Polycom. These licenses should be purchased from the same company from which you purchased the devices. You may operate devices against a Lync server for trial purposes for up to 30 days without purchasing a license. Use of the Software is subject to the terms and conditions of the End User License Agreement.
Polycom reserves the right to audit your deployment to verify that you have sufficient licenses to match the number of devices being used.

There are several websites that show exactly now to use the Polycom vvx601 with skype for business with step by step walk through.
You basically just need to have the latest firmware, although buggy somewhat, do a master reset. Select the Skype/Lync profile, then login with your credentials right after that.
As long as the above poster stated you have PSTN and calling features/plan enabled for the user, it will connect/work.
Hello techlogik,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Any User that wants to utilize a Non Skype for Business or LYNC SKU phone aka not a -019 or -018 also needs in addition the above quoted license to legally use the phone.
We check these and if they ever need support we ask for the prove of this.
