Hi,

We have created a configuration file for our VVX400 CAP's (on Skype for Business Server 2015) that works A-OK.
Now we have purchased some VVX411's under the assumption that all would be the same.
Unfortunately the VVX411's behave differently with regards to two things, automated login and the global contact directory file.
I already spent a lot of time on this including upgrading to 5.6.0. so all phones are running 5.6.0
I will describe the sign-in problem below, I will post the Global directory issue separately.

For the non-CAP phones I use the 000000000000.cfg file to init them, as I want to init the CAP phones with a locked down configuration I use the device specific configuration file for the CAP's, so <MAC>.cfg.
The <MAC>.cfg provides two configuration files: A general configuration (same for all phones) and credentials (Extension and Pin) for each phone individually.
After discovering that I had issues with the VVX411's I have made sure that the <MAC>.cfg files for both the VVX 400 and the VVX411 are similar (copy the file, then rename). So both phones are using 100% the same config files, both general and credential.
If I factory reset both VVX400 & 411 then the VVX400 is working fine, the 3 speeddials defined in the 000000000000-directory.xml file show up fine and the phone signs in with the credentials specified in the credentials file. It does not matter how I reset the VVX400, it just works, this is important, read on.

The VVX411 is sometimes working, sometimes not. If I reset the local configuration and the web configuration before I do a Factory reset then the phone won't register, so although credentials are specified it does not sign in. So the credentials need to be entered manually. Once this is done it signs in. This obsoletes the credentials file as it is read OK ("as can be seen on the Status, Platform, Configuration page") but apparently not used.
If I after manual sign-in factory reset it (without resetting the local and web config) it will sign in without manual intervention, so it seems the factory reset does not clear the complete Local and Web Configuration.
It would be nice if the phone would sign in automatically reliably, so also after resetting the Local and Web Configuration followed by a Factory reset, just like the VVX400.

Regards, Paul
