Hi,

We're unable to transfer calls from Lync Attendant (4.0.7577.4398) to a Polycom VVX600 device. The incoming call is put on hold, a second (consulting) call is made and once we click the blue transfer arrow in the second call the following message is shown:

Transferred conversation cannot return.

If the recipient does not answer, this conversation might not be returned to you. The caller uses software that does not support this. Unanswered calls will be routed according to the recipient's settings. You can turn this notification off in Options.

When i drag the first call into the second the following error shows up:

Connection not made: Call 2 to Call 1

Cannot connect the calls. An unkown error occurred. (ID: -2131820140)

This only happens when i try to transfer a call to someone signed into a VVX600 device. It works fine when the same user signs off the device and signs into a Sfb/Lync client on the computer.

Server backup is a Lync 2013 setup.

If i use a Lync client i can transfer calls to a VVX600 device just fine.

Is this a known issue, or can i somehow fix this?

Thanks,

Sebastiaan

Hello Sebastian,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Are these external calls only and if yes what Gateway are you using and what software level on the gateway.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Hi Steffen,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

It turned out to be a setting in Lync Attendent that caused this issue.

Disabling the setting "Return a transferred call to me if the recipient does not respond" makes it possible to transfer calls to a VVX device.

Sebastiaan
