Ok - I know a lot has been mentioned about missed call notifications but before you skip through this post, please read the scenario carefully.

My delegates are intermittently  receiving the below notifications in their inbox when their boss answers their phone calls. It is intermittent and I cannot reproduce this no matter what configuration I construct. This is a delegate of a boss and both are utilizing a VVX 500 set with 5.4.0.10182 and 3.2 BTOE.

Note at the bottom of the message it states "Polycom". Also, the person receiving the email is not on the To: line. The boss does not receive this email.

This email was received my "Molly" (delegate) and it was in her Inbox. She is not a Exchange delegate nor does she share any folders with the boss.

Andrea Smith: Boss

Molly: Delegate (received email)

David Jones: Caller

Any thoughts why Molly would receive this email? Like I said, I cannot recreate this in my lab and it is intermittent. And it's just not just this boss/delegate pairing having this issue.

Hello kgornek,

You had already asked a similar question => here <= and  => here <=

The reply / advice was:

This is in my understanding a Microsoft feature and I would suggest to contact Microsoft support directly on this matter as we simply using the Microsoft 3PIP specification when we qualify our phones to be able to be used with LYNC / Skype for Business.

Any changes would have to be made on the Microsoft end.

I don't believe this is a Microsoft issue because the emails come with a "Polycom" signature and not the usual "Skype for Business" signature.

The second post was a response to a post and not a question within it's own thread.

Hello kgornek,

As already explained we, Polycom, simply qualify against our partners Microsofts 3PIP program and utilize the Microsoft platforms like Exchange etc. in a Microsoft defined manner.

The LYNC / Skype Platform can simply extract the Polycom name from the User Agent and we do not have any additional integration like POP 3 or IMAP in order to send any emails.

These messages are simply triggered by the Microsoft platform and disabling any of these features should be discussed with Microsoft.

If you still would like us, Polycom , to look into this feature either raise a case with your Polycom reseller or provide me with the MAC address of a unit so I can point you to the right reseller who is your first level support contact.

Please also ensure that you are either using the LYNC SKU Hardware or have the relevant amount of per Polycom per LYNC device licenses available authorizing you to utilize the UC Software with LYNC / Skype for Business.
