Our Client (AB.org) has acquired another company (xy.xy.com) and as part of integration project we are planning to redirect Polycom phones. So First things first, We have two Domains with two way Trust enabled.
AB.org
xy.xy.com
Resources in xy.xy.com are able to reach resources in AB.org and able to resolve DNS records without any issue. There are Lync Server Pools in both the domains so we are redirecting Voice traffic and Polycom Phones from xy.xy.com domain Lync Server to connect to AB.org Lync Server Pool. Lync Clients are able to connect successfully however Polycom Phones from xy.xy.com domain Lync Server is unable to connect to AB.org Lync Server Pool.
We have DHCP updated in xy.xy.com domain with all relevant options pointing to Lync Servers of AB.org domain. DHCP is able to send ack with correct details and options (Network Trace from DHCP Verified) however Polycom phones are still getting option 43 of Lync Server in xy.xy.com instead of AB.org. (logs from Polycom phones verified) Snapshot attached for easy understanding. We need your expertise input to figure out the issue.
Note - Obviously the domain names are fake 🙂

Hello Sh@dy,
Polycom and other manufacturers produce these optimized for Microsoft® Lync® or Skype® for Business devices after a reference design and the embedded OS running on the phones is provided, supported and maintained by our partner Microsoft®.
You therefore may want to reach out to the Microsoft® community and / or Microsoft® support directly instead as this is the most direct and efficient path.
Polycom is unable to add any new features into the functionality of these CX Devices
Please try here
Best Regards
