Polycom VVX 601 and PeterConnects Boss/Admin

we have the boss/admin solution from PeterConnects on Polycom VVX in our environment. The phones have an URL ('mb.idleDisplay.home") set to the webserver of the PeterConnects server.

Sometimes the display of the VVX phones reacts only after a few seconds when the boss or admin touches the display in order to e.g. change the status of the boss or admin.

We can also see on the PeterConnects server (with WireShark on it) that there were no IP packets arriving to the server when the display does not react.

Could it be that there is the cache of the VVX (default 1024) is the reason of this behaviour?

The idle display refresh period is default '0' seconds.

Our environment: Skype for Business (wCU5), PeterConnects v8.0.7, Polycom VVX version, BToE 3.5.0

The serial # of one of the affected phone is: 64:16:7F:03:2C:3F

Re: Polycom VVX 601 and PeterConnects Boss/Admin

Hello Frank,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

Our Skype for Business integration does not utilize such 3rd party solutions.

I have never heard of this solution and neither have we tested this in the Microsoft 3PIP certification.

I doubt we can support this even as Skype for Business has its own Boss Admin Solution via the Skype for Business client.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
