Hello Vincenzo,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The RealPresence Trio is not yet Skype for Business qualified and therefore unable to register to this.

A future software will add this functionality but I am unable to comment on a release date within this public forum.

I will get our Sales Engineer in your region to contact yourself.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

So now that the new software is released how do you log in?  None of the documentation has been updated for the new Ofiice 365 features.  Are there recommend plans or required licenses for using the phone as part of a room available to book in O365?

Hello Krsoundtek,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

You would either purchase the Trio with a -18 SKU for Lync or -19 for Skype For Business as this covers the relevant license on the Polycom end.

I replied to another user => here <=

In regards of booking a room you may want to look at the Polycom® Unified Communications Deployment Guide for Microsoft® Environments guide => here <= or work with your Microsoft support team for more details.

Hi Steffen,

I am currently working on a trio 8800 realpresence (+visual) demo unit provided by one of your resellers in Australia.

I am having problems getting the Skype for Business sign in to work, and I am a little confused by the required licensing you refer to below.

The unit product number I have is 2201-65290-001.

(serial 0004F2FC3632)

It is running software version  5.4.1.17597 (I also tried upgrading to 5.4.2.5400 with the same result)

I have tried logging in with office 365 E3 licensed users using the "initial domain", e.g., user@mycompany.onmicrosoft.com

and using our internal domain (which uses AD Fed Services), e.g., user@mycompany.com

In both cases, I put the full email address in the "sign in address" and "user" fields along with the password.

It just runs at the signing in information box indefinitely (i.e., 30 mins) until I manually cancel it.

So, my question is, should my demo unit work, or am I missing a license for this SfB sign-in functionality?

Thanks in advance,

John

Hello John,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Trio needs to be in base profile and also run a current software to utilize Skype for Business / O365

After changing to teh above you need to re-enable the web interface

Mar 30, 2016 Question:Can I enable the Web Interface on a Polycom RealPresence Trio 8800?

Resolution: Please check => here <= for details

The License is required if you use the unit for more than 30 days as the SKU is not a LYNC / Skype SKU

You can find details for this => here <=
