Hi,

I've spent the last few weeks doing a lot of customization on VVX500 and VVX410 phones for a client's Lync deployment.  For the most part using the UCS 5.4 Admin guide has gotten me through many of the requests.  I've got 81 configurations, 0 errors, things look good.

One that I am struggling with is removing the Video Mode button off the bottom menu bar (after you hit MORE)

I have the following in my configuration file

feature.enhancedFeatureKeys..enabled  = 1

I managed to remove a few other softkeys using code like this.

softkey.feature.mystatus = 0

I just dont know how to get rid of the Video Mode button?

I tried softkey.feature.video = 0 but that didnt do it.

At the same point we do have a desire to add a helpdesk speed dial button on this bottom menu bar as well, so if we can't remove the Video Mode button, can we rename it to Helpdesk and make it a speed dial to our helpdesk?

Can anyone help or give me some ideas?  Can this be done or can it not be done?

The only other items on my bucket list is rename Lync Search button to Directory (we removed the directories key already).  I attached to jpeg's but i'm not sure if they are visible here.

Thanks!

-Matt

Hello medihuber,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Are you using cameras on the Phones ?

If no simply disable video via:

video.enable="0"

Anything else would be a feature request if you desire to have video but not show the softkey.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Thank you that did the trick on video!

What about renaming the blue icon / Lync Search button?  Do you know if that can be renamed?
