I have a VVX 311 phone that I currently use standalone for SIP (in "Generic" base profile) for home business purposes. I also work for a firm that uses MS Teams, and I use that separately through my work computer to make work calls, etc.
I'd like to use my VVX phone to both make calls on my existing SIP line as well as through my work computer (i.e., possibly using BToE), but I gather that if I switch the phone to SfB base profile, then there is no way to keep the SIP line.
Is there some way to get the phone to work with SfB/Teams without the switch to the SfB base profile, allowing me to keep the SIP line? I need only basic SfB support: starting/receiving/ending calls and dialling. I don't need presence info, etc., on the phone.
Note that I only need to dial out on the SIP line. I can just forward to my SfB number for incoming calls on the SIP number (if that somehow helps...)
Phone is running latest UC software version: 6.1.0.6189
