Hi all,

Please excuse my lack of skill in this space. I'm use to the old school. HDX7000's and just punching in a SIP address and password and you're good to go!

I'm trying to confirm that the Soundstructure C8 appliance supports Skype for Business Online (Office 365) standalone. E.g. No Hybrid or on-premises Lync/Skype servers. I read documentation about how the you export the Lync Root CA etc for the VoIP card but it doesn't go much futher then this. Is this how SoundStructure works? Or is it the VC units that connect to it that you should be setting up Skype for Business Online with?

Any guidance or a simple yes/no answer will be great. Appreciate everyone's help up front?

Cheers,

Trent

Hello Trent,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

The SoundStructure VoIP card is just like a VVX phone so using any current software like 5.6.0 or 5.5.2 will simply allow you to sign into Office 365 using the Web Interface.

There is no need for additional certificates and this is described here:
