I have one phone (the president of the company's of course) that will periodically upgrade it's firmware. How can I stop it from doing so?

It's firmware should be "5.4.0A.10182 SFB-Lync Only". We're using Office 365 Voice.

I have to downgrade it for him about once every month or two. The other 5 phones (same model) don't do it.

Is there an easy way to stop this or maybe a setting on the phone that I could purposely change so it can't find the firmware server (thus making it impossible to auto upgrade)?

Hi,

check Skype-FAQs and you will find the right advices to prevent auto-downgrading from O365.

Feb 02, 2016 Question:How can I prevent a Polycom VVX Business Media Phone to be downgraded / upgraded automatically via Skype for Business and/or Office365?

Resolution:For LYNC please download, unpack and import the attached LyncProvisionDeviceParams. For Skype for Business Online / O365 please set the EnableDeviceUpdate to false as explained => here <=
