Is "Hot Desking" supported on any FW/VVX desk phones that are being used in a Teams-only organization with MS Phone System/Calling Plans (no SBC or direct routing)?
Hot desk is enabled by policy in our tenant, and we see the option available to those using native teams phones, but the option is not appearing on our VVX phones running the Skype profile as 3PIP. I have verified that the "Hot Desk" option is enabled on the phones via the phones' admin interface.
This particular org uses a mix of VVX 411's and VVX 601's, and all are currently running either FW version 5.9.0.9373, and in some cases 6.3.
TIA,
Bob

Hello @rmanjoney ,
The coordination happened when we originally developed our software to be 3PIP certified. This was initially with Microsoft LYNC and has gone on with Microsoft Skype for Business on Premise. Later Microsoft moved to Microsoft Skype for Business Online. All that way we kept our 3PIP certification as required by Microsoft.
Microsoft has released Teams which fundamentally is completely different from Microsoft Skype for Business. They added the 3PIP gateway which has some support between the "old" and the "new" but as you found not 100% feature parity. Nothing has changed on our end so again I only can ask you to work with our Partner Microsoft.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello @rmanjoney ,
Welcome back to the Poly Community.
My colleague Jeff Schertz has this article >here< in detail. As this is aimed at Skype on Premise or former Skype for Business online use cases we can only assume that the 3PIP Gateway not support this.
You would need to work with our Partner Microsoft to get this answered. A good table can be for example be found >here<

I had read Jeff's article that you referenced but as usual hope springs eternal. I assumed supporting this would require at least some coordination between Poly and Microsoft, which is why I inquired here, and now I know that the answer, at least currently is "no".
Thanks,
Bob
