Dear support and community,

is there a way to change some words in the UI of the Trio 8800?

In your german translation, the word for "join" to join a skype call is "zusammenfügen", which means more like "put together". So i would change this to "teilnehmen" which is a better translation.

I found this KB article:

Change the Polycom pre-translated Language on Polycom Phones

But there is no explanation, how to transfer the file to the Trio Device.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

Christopher

Hello @Schnee,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

This completely depends on your setup. When using a Provisioning Server you would simply change the existing XML file within VVXLocalization\ Sub Directory and on a reboot the Trio would load this.

In addition you can use a USB Stick on a Trio.

I updated the post and you may want to look at Polycom ResourceManager aka RPRM or the Polycom Device Management Service aka PDMS-E

RPRM is a virtual instance in your organisation and PDMS is a Cloud Server which both can be used to monitor the devices and update and configure.
