Hi all,

I'm trying to Lync sign in on the Trio8800 but I have some problems:

if I try to sign in with an account like luca.lupi@xxxx.onmicrosoft.com, it works.

If I try to sign in with an account with my domain (I've verified my domain on the Office365 portal and created users with it), like luca.lupi@xxxxxx.com, it keeps trying to connect but never succeded.

I've to compile in diffrent manner the Sign-in Address, Username field?

I've tried only to put the same luca.lupi@xxxxxx.com in Sign-in Address, Username and put my password. I've to put something different in the sign-in address field (like some microsoft365 server)?

Thanks

Luca

Hi,

I run into the same issue, until I thinking about - stupid but correct - to set the line1 settings to the correct port 5061 and tls protocol with leave the IP empty. Then back to LyncSignIn and all works fine with my own domain. see attched screenshots

Sometimes sign-In process takes about 3min. Be aware of, if your account has the option to change the password on first login, the trio sign-in process will be infinite. You have to login first with a client or webbrowser.

Hello HRegen and all,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

To my knowledge there is no need to do this as we passed Microsoft qualification with the Trio and all other phones simply either:

  • Ordered as a Skype for Business SKU
    or
  • Ordered as a LYNC SKU
    or
  • A normal SKU + required per device LYNC license and simple changed the Phone into LYNC Base Profile

If you or anyone else struggle with the Trio / VVX Phones we need to see some logs.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. In case this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post your phone's MAC address so I can look up who would be able to support you.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
