Good-day every.

Yes, I am having trouble with Exchange Calendar integration.  Yes, I have read quite a lot of pages of help, but I suspect there is something right in front of me that I must now be ignoring.

I have attached, hopefully, a good deal of information (and hopefully comprehensively obsfucated the organisation's inner details).

You don't know how much I would appreciate this.

Thanks in anticpation.

What follows is a series of steps I took working through "the process".  I also have logs that I will attach.

  1. Poly Trio 8800
  • P/N 2201-65290-019
  • Factory reset
  • Firmware: 5.9.1.10419 (5.9.1 Rev AA)
  1. Next:
  • Web Server Configuration
    • Web Server = ON
    • Web Config Mode = HTTP/HTTPS
  • Reboot
  1. Next:
  • Download 5.9.1 Rev AA/5.9.1.10906 to provisioning server
  • Via Web Server set provisioning server to local FTP
  • Firmware upgrade
  • Reboot
  1. Next:
  • Now 5.9.1 Rev AA/5.9.1.10906
  • Via Web server set date/time
    • Use pool.ntp.org
    • Set Time Zone ID to (GMT +10.00) Sydney, Canberra
    • Set Alternate GMT Offset to (GMT +10.00) Melbourne
    • Save
    • cfg shows tcpIpApp.sntp.olsonTimeZone ID=”Australia/Sydney”
  1. Microsoft Exchange Meeting Room Account (Exchange Online)
  • “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
  • Account is Enabled
  • Account has a known and proven password
    • Can login to the account via OWA
  • In AD, it is located under OU=Exchange/OU=Resources
  • SAMAccountName = “lara_sth_level_4_test”
  • Mail=“lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
  • It is enabled for automatic calendar processing
    • Proven by including room in an invitation and receiving acceptance
  • DeleteComments has been set to FALSE
    • Proven by logging into OWA and viewing invitation
  1. Skype for Business Meeting Room (On-Premise)
  • Enabled
  1. Exchange Calendar Integration Testing
  • Via Trio Web Server login:
    • Settings/Skype for Business SignIn
    • User Credentials = Enable
    • Authentication Type = User Credentials
    • Sign-n Address = “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
    • User = “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
    • Password = <yeh, not telling>
    • Message = “Signed into Skype for Business”
    • Skype for Business presence in shown against account for Line 1
    • Trio Web Server shows, Settings/Skype for Business SignIn page, “Not able to connect to Calendar data & other exchange (sic) services. Click here to re-enter your username & password)
    • On Trio Web Server page, Settings/Applications/Exchange Applications
      • AutoDiscover = Enable
    • On Trio Web Server page, Diagnostics/Skype for Business Status
      • EWS Information = EWS not deployed
      • Configured Exchange URL = <null>
      • EWS Internal URL = <null>
      • EWS External URL = <null>
    • Trio displays message “Failed to connect to Echange server. Re-enter credentials to access Exchange services.”
      • Choose Continue
      • New message displayed is “Failed to connect to Exchange server...”
      • Sign-in Address on Trio is “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
      • Password is pre-entered
      • Select SignIn
      • Message = “Congratulations you are now signed in…”
    • On Trio Web Server page, Diagnostics/Skype for Business Status
      • Email now showing “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
      • Configured EWS URL, EWS Internal and EWS External URL’s are still <null>
    • Send Outlook invitation “New Skype Meeting”

      • Set it to a future date/time
      • Send
      • Receive Acceptance
    • Select Meetings on Trio touch panel
      • Briefly displays: Exchange Auto Discovery in progress
      • Displays “Connecting…” and “Disconnect from server”
      • Returns to home screen
  1. Next:
  • Via Trio WebServer manually configure EWS URL
  1. Next:
  • Setup configuration file, change values as appropriate
    • logincred.user.set = “1”
    • logincred.password.set = “1”
    • 1.auth.useLoginCredentials = “1”
    • 1.auth.loginCredentialsType = “usernameAndPassword”
    • 1.address = “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
    • 1.auth.password = “<password>”
    • logincred.user = lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au
    • logincred.password = “<password>”
  • Manually sign-out Trio via Trio Web Server
  • Import to Trio via Trio Web Server
  • Message = “Configuration file imported successfully”
  • Trio attempts to sign-in, waited more than 10 minutes and cancelled
  • Thought this had worked before

Another Approach

  1. Poly Trio 8800

  • Web Server Configuration
    • Web Server = ON
    • Web Config Mode = HTTP/HTTPS
  • Reboot
  1. Next:
  • Via Web Server set provisioning server to local FTP
    • Updates (is it reloading 5.9.1.10906?)
    • Reboot
  • Via Web server set date/time
    • Use pool.ntp.org
    • Set Time Zone ID to (GMT +10.00) Sydney, Canberra
    • Set Alternate GMT Offset to (GMT +10.00) Melbourne
    • Save
    • cfg shows tcpIpApp.sntp.olsonTimeZone ID=”Australia/Sydney”
  1. Next:
  • Setup configuration file, change values as appropriate
    • logincred.user.set = “1”
    • logincred.password.set = “1”
    • 1.auth.useLoginCredentials = “1”
    • 1.auth.loginCredentialsType = “usernameAndPassword”
    • 1.address = “lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au”
    • 1.auth.password = “<password>”
    • logincred.user = lara_sth_level_4_test_meeting_room@pretend.com.au
    • logincred.password = “<password>”
  • Import to Trio via Trio Web Server
  • Message = “Configuration file imported successfully”
  • Trio attempts to sign-in, waited more than 10 minutes and cancelled
  • Thought this had worked before

The Skype FAQ has this post:

Jan 17, 2017 Question: How can I troubleshoot simple Skype for Business, Office365 or Teams issues?

Resolution: Have a look => here <=

As we do not know if this is a Day 1 issue or just now happened we would need to see this in support.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support.

Our records show the product was sold originally by GECDF-Exclusive Networks Pty Ltd via UNISYS Australia PTY LTD back in 31/05/2018

If the unit is no longer within the warranty please be prepared to Pay Per Incident / PPI. This is all outlined in detail here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
