Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well in these strange times!

We're deploying ~100 Trio C60 devices in our Teams environment, and so far so good.  There are some device settings we'd like to change, however, such as disabling WiFi (a device setting) and Bluetooth (a feature setting).  Rather than setting up a provisioning server, it would be much easier for us to modify the device settings and features .cfg files and upload them to each device, but is this even possible?

Our dilemma is that some options are only found in the features.cfg file (Bluetooth), which is part of the SW package, i.e.: you cannot export if from the device like you can with the devices.cfg file.  How do we get both of these on a device, without using a provisioning server?  Poly's documentation on this pushes a provisioning server, but surely we must be able to simply upload the files to individual devices as well, no?

Thank you!!!

Hello @dpearson99 ,

Welcome to the Poly Community. Usually, we ask for this:

From our "normal" FAQ:

Mar 08, 2013 Question: Where can I download configuration files from or create these myself?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

and

Dec 04, 2015 Question:How can I provision/upgrade the software via USB for the Poly Trio, CCX and/or Visual+?

Resolution: Please check this post => here <=

Depending if the unit is already in Teams mode you may manually want to import

<web prov.startupCheck.enabled="1"/> so the device checks from USB as the Teams SKU may not do this.

Thank you SteffenBaierUK !  This is super helpful, especially the 2nd part about writing and uploading your own configuration parameters.  Great stuff!

Building off of this - is there a way to enable Web Server Configuration Mode via a config file on USB?  Ideally, we'd like to connect a USB to the device and not have to touch it - it would pull the files from the USB and then configure.  We've tried http.cfg.enabled, but no luck.  Same for the Admin password upon boot - we've tried device.auth.localAdminPassword.set, but same - no luck.

Any insight is most appreciated!

Hello @dpearson99 ,

You have not shared any sample config so we can look at it and correct it if needed.

Also if a Trio is already in Teams mode aka booting up and you selected the Teams Profile it will no longer look for the 000000000000.cfg file.

We would need to see some logs of a phone with the Web Interface enabled to comment.

This => here <= explains the sample config for the Web Server but as we do not know if you follow the example >here< aka use the combination of the 00000000000.cfg and then the config_file section to specify the actual configuration file its hard to comment.

If no other volunteer has any more comments, and as I am on holiday, please work with your Poly reseller on this.

In order to raise a support ticket, you need to work with your Poly reseller as they may need to do this for you.

End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Poly support. Available End User Poly services offerings are detailed here

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter providing your MAC address or your Poly devices serial will enable us to look up who would be able to support you (I cannot do this until 01/09/2020). This may not be who you purchased the Poly device from.
