Hi

Running a Trio 8800 version 5.5.3.3441, and on PC the Skype for Business 2016 client.

I run hybrid config with hosted Skype on line 1 and local Call Manager on line 2.

If I start a skype call between my laptop and the Trio, I can share desktop just fine. When I add other attendees, the desktop sharing stops working and the Trio no longer displays the desktop.

Any ideas on where to start looking? I thought the VBSS receive feature of the latest software might resolve the problem but it hasn't, now I'm thinking the issue is something else.

Did this only stop working since the upgrade to 5.5.3 or did you not test this prior to this?

 

I suggest you get this into support so we can look at this.


In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you.

End Customers are unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I'll ask my reseller to follow through with a support ticket. I am probably closer to the problem than my reseller though, and thought maybe the problem I was having was common. In fact, I wasn't even sure if it was/is a problem, or if it is behaving normally and the feature was/is unsupported.

 

To answer your question, the problem has always been there but the install is probably only a month or two old and we are still rolling out. 

 

It's fine, I think you've answered the "should this work" question (yes). I'll work through the support channels and see where I end up.

Update:

I traced the issue to our firewall. We run an application-aware firewall, and rules are quite strict. Additional connections needed to be permitted to the Office 365 cloud (ssl, stun) - video conferencing worked fine, but accessing additional content like shared desktop wouldn't work without it.
