We just deployed the updated firmware (5.7.0) to a few of our VVX 501 phones but have been having account lockout issues ever since. When signing into the phone using BToE or direclty through the web interface the phone will log the user into Skype but immediately lock out the user account and fail to connect to Exchange. I can tell from the logs that the lockouts are being returned by the Skype servers with an error (the username is correct but the password is wrong). Why after the phone successfuly authenticates the user into Skype is it still attempting to login in? Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
Thanks,
Bradley
Hello @,
welcome back to the Polycom community.
Most of your old post(s) => here <= are still open / pending as you have not marked these as "Accept as a solution" or at least provided some form of feedback or answer.
If they are in this state nobody finding them via a community search will know if an answer or advice provided was useful and has maybe helped you.
Could you therefore kindly go over them and mark or answer as appropriate ?
If they are marked as "Accept as a solution" other users can find these easier and it helps them to utilise the community more efficiently.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

I have not found the cause of this issue and I am still investigating. This seems to have only happened after the upgrade to 5.7.0 so I'm not sure if something changed with the authentication method in this update.
See if release 5.7.2 resolves it for you.
