Hello,

We are currently on Lync Server 2013 with Skype for Business 2015 clients and Polycom VVX phones.  We are on Polycom UCS software 5.2.0 today and we will be upgrading to 5.4.1 after a testing phase.  After uploading the 5.4.1 cab files to a pending state on the Lync Server, I noticed not all phones have it set as a pending version.  See my DevUpdate.JPG attachment.

It seems only Rev-A has the new software as pending and all over revisions were ignored.  I checked the cab file for 5.2.0 and the updateinfo.xml file lists multiple revisions for each model phone.  See my updateinfo.JPG attachment.  I found this xml file inside of the individual cab files for each model phone.  See my updateinfo_location.JPG attachment.

Should the updateinfo.xml file in 5.4.1 contain all of the revisions that past cab files have specified?  Will this affect phones that are not on "Rev-A"?  If the other revisions are not needed, is there a process to remove them?

Hello JPLarsonqg,

we made this change a few versions ago as prior to this the LYNC server would store the software per revision what caused gigabytes of files being stored on the servers.

Newer Software Versions now only use one revision for all phones.
